On Friday, April 20, 2018, the Bethpage Varsity Softball Team hosted its first Autism Awareness Game.  The Golden Eagles played a league game against East Rockaway at home for this special day.  The honorary first pitch was thrown by Coach Tierney’s student, Jack Hopper!  He did such a fantastic job!  The Golden Eagles defeated East Rockaway 6-5, in a thrilling eleven inning game!  Sophomore pitcher, Sofia Sozio had twenty strikeouts in the game!  It was a great team win and the girls raised money for a great cause!
